Hamish McHaggis lives in his little Hoggle, hidden away in a secret glen in the highlands of Scotland, with his friends Angus, a cheeky pine marten, Jeannie an inquisitive osprey and Rupert, a travelling English hedgehog.

We are celebrating with some very special events all around Scotland starting where it all began with a wonderful Hamish McHaggis day at the fabulous Glamis Castle on 26th April 2025. The author Linda Strachan will be there to read from the books and you can get your own signed copy. Best of all Hamish himself may even make an appearance.
We will be continuing the celebrations in some of the amazing places across Scotland that are featured in the Hamish books, and also at festivals and bookshops with events and activities all over the summer.
